Toilet Talk was an all-day workshop hosted by the Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds and run by Impress, Devices4Dignity and Sheffield Hallam University. The aim of the day was to record the experiences of kids with continence issues and discover any unmet needs that could inspire creative solutions to help them.
I produced 2 murals, which took the form of islands with 3 regions where ideas could be recorded. Whilst being an engaging way of recording the ideas collected during the session it was also fully accessible by the kids who could draw all over it, talk about it and tell me I was doing it all wrong. After all they are the experts!
Some of the results, in particular the contributions from the kids were summarised in a comic. This was used at conferences and sent out to the families as a quick way of showing our appreciation of their valuable input.
