I was brought in as the sole illustrator on a fast paced project run by Centric based in Sheffield Hallam University. With their close ties to local police they wanted to create an educational game which raises awareness of some of the most common social issues found in towns across the country. By playing through each scenario, the game introduces the player to new forms of criminality and gives them various ways of reacting. At the same time player data is gathered, highlighting the most popular choices, enabling Centric to see where community engagement can be improved.
The image above shows the complete map of 12 locations. Each scenario features a unique set of hand-drawn assets spanning interior and exterior scenes with a wide range of characters to interact with, as you can see from the screenshots below:
